PML support Merton Priory Homes in the procurement of three new contractors for its Decent Homes and Improvement Works

PML Group has successfully supported Merton Priory Homes, part of leading affordable housing provider Circle Anglia, in the procurement of three new contractors for its Decent Homes and Improvement Works. Contracts have been awarded to Apollo Group, Wates Living Space and VINCI Facilities to deliver up to £200 million over the full 10 year term.
PML Group were appointed in June 2009 to work with Merton Council and Circle Anglia in the development of a contract strategy; and to provide procurement support and advice. Governance arrangements were quickly put in place to manage the process efficiently and residents were involved at all stages of the process playing a critical role in the activity of the project team.
The contract arrangements put in place will ensure that Merton Priory Homes residents' play an integral role in the programme of works, performance management and relationships with the new partners. Residents have also ensured that there will be a significant focus on community initiatives, training and local employment.
A Strategic Partnering Agreement will help ensure that consistently high standards of work will be delivered across Merton and that asset management is coordinated across all related work streams and existing contract arrangements.
