The following list of activities that PML can provide are not exhaustive but provide the basic framework for the successful implementation, monitoring and review of a partnership approach:

PARTNERSHIP ADVISOR

The following list of requirements are not exhaustive but provide the basic framework for the Consultancy role for implementation, monitoring and review of a partnership:

  • Development of contract content with the incoming constructors and client teams.
  • Facilitate meetings between the incoming constructors and client teams to finalise contract details
  • Establishment of the Core Group and advise on the development and processes of the Contract
  • Provide training for Members, Tenants, Staff, Leaseholders and Trade Unions as required through all stages of the process
  • Assist with the development and agreement of a Price Framework
  • Assist with the development and agreement of the Partnership Charter
  • Development and implementation of systems and processes
  • Identify supply chain and potential partners
  • Assist with the development and agreement of the KPI documentation, IT systems and reports
  • Develop Benchmarking and KPI monitoring processes
  • Develop and agree Open Book arrangements with chosen Contractor, including incentivisations and preparation and agreement of Partnering Team Incentives
  • Develop and agree the risk sharing arrangements including preparation of the Contract Risk Register
  • Develop and agree problem solving Hierarchy, dispute avoidance and resolution procedures

PARTNERSHIP FACILITATOR

  • Provide Culture Change workshops for all key staff affected by the Partnership
  • Provide recommendations and monitoring of continual improvements over the partnership term.
  • Develop aims and objectives of the Partnership team with a clear problem solving structure
  • Provide advice to the Partnering team should a dispute occur
  • Facilitate delivery of the Partnership programme

PARTNERSHIP MENTOR

A Partnership Mentor role will work closely with the team to advise on Best Practice and provide the necessary training to ensure that all key members are self-sufficient. This is achieved through:

  • Provide ad hoc support to Partnership staff as and when required
  • Provide training and support to ensure that accounting and Partnership procurement principles, KPI’s, ethos, performance monitoring etc. is fully understood and becomes part of the ‘day job’.
  • Provide training and support for all key members of staff to ensure that the Partnership culture is embedded and advice on improving staff motivation.
  • Develop Partnership Champions.
  • Provide training and support for members, tenants and key stakeholders via workshops.
